In good condition. Cream and red pictorial paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light overall scuffing, fading, aging and soiling. Binding tight (staple bound). Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. Nice black and white photos. The Manhattan Beach Fire Department was formed in 1923 as an all-volunteer department. This booklet details the history of the department from its creation, the hiring of the first professional Chief, reorganization in the 1930s, the war years, the expansion of its services throughout the years, the construction of the fire station, the launching of the paramedics and some of the historic fires and emergencies in Manhattan Beach throughout the years.
