Helle Jetzig (b. 1956.) is a German contemporary artist who combines painting and photography in his work. He studied art at the University of Osnabruck from 1978 to 1984. His paintings are non-representational, while his photographs are in black and white. He combines these two opposing techniques to create unique and visually striking artworks. Jetzig's work often features cityscapes and man-made objects. He takes his photographs exclusively with analog cameras and black-and-white film. He then combines and enlarges the photographs, printing them on wooden bases. The final artworks are a synthesis of photography, painting, and material. Jetzig's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout Germany and Europe. His work is also included in the collections of several museums, including the Museum Ludwig in Cologne and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
