In acceptable condition/ NO dust jacket. Illustrated Paper over Boards with blue cloth on spine. Bumping and chipping to paper over edges of covers with a bit of the underlying boards exposed along edges. Moderate overall scuffing, aging and soiling to covers as well. Binding tight. Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked with some tears along a the edges of a few pages. NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. A good reading copy. Photographic illustrations by Author. This the story of how Margot and Jeanne grew up, how they met, and how the secret of little Jeanne's birth was revealed. For only one person knew who little Jeanne's parents were and this person was Aunty Sue, for whom Jeanne worked as a children's dress model. Madeline Brandeis (1897 - 1937) was a children's book author and film producer and director. She was best known for her "Children of America" and "Children of All Lands" book series. She illustrated her books with photographs from her travels, often casting her daughter Marie as the main character for stories about little girls. She also founded The Little Players' Film Co., which during the Silent Film era produced eight films geared to children.
