In acceptable condition. Red and white pictorial paper covers are almost complete split along fold of spine and have several other small nicks and tears and creasing along edges. Moderate overall aging and soiling to covers as well. Staple bound. Interior pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. Features include: Turner in America by Allen S. Weller; A Season for Sculpture; Lalibela: Jerusalem of Ethiopia by Richard Post; Charles Burchfield by Lavern George; Reveron; The Symbolic Language of Francis Picabia by Philip Pearlstein. Black and white photos and illustrations throughout with 8 color pages. Arts was a prominent monthly magazine devoted to fine art. Launched in 1926 and originally titled The Art Digest, it was printed semi-monthly from October to May and monthly from June to September. Its stated purpose was to provide complete coverage of arts exhibitions in America, collated from all relevant news sources.
