The Esteban Salas Early Music Festival was started in the year 2003 and gets a large crowd of attendees on an annual basis. The festival was started to commemorate the artistic talent of Esteban Salas, who was a famous composer in Cuba. The first festival took place on the 200th anniversary of the death of Esteban Salas and celebrates the genre known as “early musicâ€, which encompasses a large number of styles including Baroque, Renaissance and Medieval. The first act is always performed by the Ars Longa Music Ensemble.
