Condition & notes

In Very Good condition. Glossy pictorial covers printed in red (front: Hitler's motorcade through saluting crowds; rear: massed formations on the Konigsplatz) with light bumping and creasing to edges and corners, a small area of peeling at bottom corner of front cover, and mild shelf wear. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. [From back cover] Where was the Beer Hall Putsch and what was it? Where did Hitler live in Munich? Where were the 1938 Munich Accords signed? Who were the White Rose conspirators and where did they live, meet . . . and die? These are a few of the many questions answered in this book -- the first guide to the Munich that Hitler knew: Hitler's life in Munich; the Beer Hall Putsch; the Night of the Long Knives; the Munich Accords; attempt on Hitler's life; Dachau Concentration Camp; Crystal Night; the White Rose; Father Rupert Mayer; Hitler's plans for Munich; War damage. Both guide and narrative. Sites are numbered on the map and grouped by district (City Center, the Brienner Strasse corridor, Schwabing, east of the Isar). Each chapter begins with the location and present-day appearance of its sites. Includes directions to the Dachau memorial and a facsimile of the Anglo-German declaration signed by Hitler and Chamberlain on September 30, 1938.
