Thirty stories and articles by Nash Buckingham (1880-1971), the Tennessee wildfowler, bird-dog man and field-trial judge best known for De Shootinest Gent'man. George Bird Evans, a grouse and woodcock writer and friend of Buckingham's, chose them from 111 stories and articles and grouped them in six parts, adding editor's notes and a biographical "Portrait of Nash." Olin, who wrote the foreword, hired Buckingham in 1925 as Western Cartridge Company's Director of Game Restoration, the first such post in American industry.
