In Very Good condition. Glossy illustrated wraps with mild shelf wear to edges and corners. Binding tight. Signed in ink by four contributors on title page (Kathleen Piche, Gayle Bartos-Pool, Gay Degani and Susan Lynn Kingsbury), and signed again by Piche, Kingsbury and Degani at the opening of their stories (pp. 14, 153, 175). A few small ink specks from the signing on blank page facing title page. Otherwise unmarked. Ten crime stories, most by members of the Los Angeles chapter of Sisters in Crime, issued by editor Loretta Scott Miller's own press; settings run from Los Angeles freeways and Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel to a Lake District village. Several contributors went on to wider careers: Gay Degani, three-time Pushcart Prize nominee, founder of Flash Fiction Chronicles and author of the novel What Came Before (2016); Gayle Bartos-Pool, a former private investigator who writes as G.B. Pool (Gin Caulfield, Johnny Casino and Chance McCoy series); and Sarah M. Chen, whose noir novella Cleaning Up Finn was an Anthony Award finalist. Chen's early story here is unsigned.
