From the 1942 20th Century-Fox picture Orchestra Wives, featuring Glenn Miller and his Orchestra with George Montgomery, Ann Rutherford, Lynn Bari, Carole Landis, and Cesar Romero. Sung on screen by Ray Eberle and Lynn Bari with the Miller band, "At Last" became one of the great American popular standards, later made definitive by Etta James. Orchestra Wives was Glenn Miller's second and final film: he enlisted that year and disappeared over the English Channel in December 1944.
