In Very Good condition with a Good dust jacket. Green illustrated cloth-covered boards with dark green lettering on spine; mild surface and shelf wear, with some toning and color loss along edges and spine; binding tight; pages clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has several nicks and tears (one-half inch or less) and light creasing to edges; mild to moderate overall shelf wear with some color loss along edges and spine; toning and mild soiling to back cover. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover. Forty-one poems by Maxine Kumin with seventeen pen-and-ink drawings by Barbara Swan, exploring the inner and outer life of rural New England, much of it set on Kumin's New Hampshire farm. Up Country won the 1973 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry.
