In Good condition with an Acceptable+ dust jacket. Grey patterned paper over boards, gold lettering on spine; light bumping and scuffing to edges and corners, some color loss along edges. Binding tight. Foxing to endpapers and text block edges; chipping along the fore-edges of the first 20-25 pages; pages otherwise unmarked. Pictorial dust jacket shows several chips and tears (one inch or less) with edge creasing, mild to moderate overall scuffing and soiling, and a one-inch scuffed patch at center front where a price sticker was removed, lifting the top color layer. A narrative history of small-boat circumnavigators, from Joshua Slocum's pioneering 1895 to 1898 voyage in the Spray to the modern era of Chichester, Gerbault, Robinson, Moitessier, Knox-Johnston, and Robin Lee Graham. Holm draws on many previously unpublished personal accounts to recreate the voyages and the motivations behind them. Includes index.
