In Very Good condition. Brown paper covers with mild bumping to edges and corners and mild shelf wear. Binding tight. Light fingerprint smudges to fore-edge of one page. Otherwise unmarked. Slim publication issued by Christie's to coincide with the single-lot sale of Lucian Freud's Naked Portrait with Reflection (1980) at the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, London, 30 June 2008. Text by William Paton places the painting within Freud's work and the tradition of London figurative painting, reproducing it alongside related images by Jan van Eyck, Velazquez, Picasso, Walter Sickert, and Stanley Spencer.
