In Very Good condition. Color illustrated wrappers reproducing Bierstadt's Cho-looke, The Yosemite Fall on the front; light bumping increasing toward the edges and corners, mild surface wear with some color loss along the edges and spine. Faint erased pencil residue to the upper corner of the title page. Binding tight. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked. The second exhibition catalogue in the Timken Art Gallery's Focus series, issued for the 1986 exhibition built around Albert Bierstadt's 1864 painting Cho-looke, The Yosemite Fall, then in the Putnam Foundation collection. A scholarly essay by guest curator Nancy K. Anderson sets the painting in its cultural and historical context, with a foreword by gallery director Nancy Ames Petersen. The exhibition gathered twenty-one works (paintings, drawings, lithographs, photographs, and popular illustrations) tracing the artistic representation of Yosemite Falls, including works by Bierstadt, Thomas Almond Ayres, Carleton E.
