The catalog pairs the postwar modernism of Miami Beach with that of New York, illustrated with color photographs of hotels, motels, banks, theaters, fire stations and commercial buildings by architects including Morris Lapidus, Eero Saarinen, Edward Durell Stone, Marcel Breuer, Norman M. Giller and Gilbert Fein. Essays by John Kriskiewicz ("You've Arrived!") and Allan T. Shulman ("Miami Modern"), with an introduction by Barbara Faga and photographs by Dixi Carrillo, Thomas Delbeck, Robin Hill and Arthur Marcus. An early document of the MiMo (Miami Modern) preservation movement, closing with an index of the featured buildings and architects in Miami and New York.
