Glossy pictorial paper covers with two coiled-tray photographs on the front (top: Lorraine Black, Diné, 1996; bottom: unknown Akimel O'odham maker, c. 1920s) and excerpts from participating artists on the back. Mild edge and surface wear to the covers. Binding tight; pages clean and unmarked.The fourth volume in the School of American Research's Contemporary Indian Artists Series, drawn from a "convocation" of basket makers and scholars hosted by SAR.
