Illustrated paper covers, the front with a color reproduction of a David Bates lake landscape and the back a blue-toned reproduction of a sketch with the DC Moore Gallery imprint. Light bumping to edges and mild shelf wear. Binding tight. Otherwise unmarked. Exhibition catalogue published on the occasion of David Bates' solo exhibition at DC Moore Gallery, 724 Fifth Avenue, New York, November 15 to December 22, 2006. Includes the essay "Art Meets Life: The New Work of David Bates" by Jacquelyn Days Serwer (Curator, Smithsonian American Art Museum), which surveys Bates' recent paintings, drawings, and works on paper with particular attention to his response to Hurricane Katrina, his Grassy Lake landscapes, and his portraits, wildlife studies, and still lifes.
