Pale cream printed card wrappers, front cover with a period landscape vignette of a Cahuilla encampment reproduced from the 1852 U.S. Army Topographical Engineers railroad survey report (depicting a Cahuilla family in front of Paulino Weaver's ranch near Beaumont), with the Malki Museum Press mark at lower left. Back cover reproduces an 1892 photograph of famed Cahuilla Chief Cabezon, the younger. Mild surface wear to covers; staple bound, binding tight; interior pages clean and unmarked. Lawton was originally issued in February 1965 to introduce visitors to the Malki Museum on the Morongo Indian Reservation; here in its Seventh Revised Printing of January 1997.
