Wraps, 5 pp.; 31 cm; outer folded bifolium cover with one loose inner leaf (pp. 3-4) laid in as issued; illustrated with a red and pink pictorial cover designed by Barbelle featuring an inset photograph of Gregg Lawrence (featured vocalist with Frankie Carle's Orchestra) and silhouettes of a couple eating in a booth and a couple dancing. For voice and piano with chord symbols.
Condition & notes
In Good condition. Pictorial wraps show mild shelf wear with bumping and creasing to edges and a few small nicks; some soiling to covers. Previous owner's ink inscription and date (July 16, 1948) to upper front cover. Interior pages lightly toned but clean and unmarked; inner leaf present and laid in as issued (the standard period construction for popular sheet music of this era). Page 2 carries a one-page promotional sample of The Dream Peddler (Duena De Mi Corazon), English lyric by Al Stewart, Spanish words and music by Pepe Delgado (also a Southern Music Publishing title). Back cover features a Latin-American Hit Folios advertisement from Southern Music Publishing with cover reproductions including Xavier Cugat, Ethel Smith, Andy Russell, Tito Guizar, and Pan Americana.
