Condition & notes

In Very Good condition. Tan wraps with black Art Deco geometric borders and lettering. Mild shelf wear with light bumping to edges; small "3.25" price sticker at upper right of front cover with a bit of residue to the surrounding area; small retailer stamp on the front cover from Larry Edmunds Cinema Bookshop of Hollywood, the noted theatrical and cinema bookseller. Staple bound; binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked.A drama in three acts by Robert Morley and Noel Langley, with a preface by Robert Morley. Dedicated to Peggy Ashcroft. "Edward, My Son" was first presented by Gilbert Miller and Henry Sherek at the Martin Beck Theatre, New York City, on September 30, 1948, with Robert Morley as Arnold Holt and Peggy Ashcroft as Evelyn Holt; directed by Peter Ashmore, with settings and costumes by Anthony Holland. The play follows Arnold Holt, a ruthless self-made businessman whose obsessive ambition to secure every advantage for his only son corrodes his marriage, his ethics, and ultimately his world. Six scene-design floor plans at rear (pp. 94-95) cover all three acts.
