Typography specimen book issued by Adobe Systems to introduce the Poetica typeface, part of the Adobe Originals program of digital fonts designed for emerging desktop publishing technologies. The typeface was designed by Robert Slimbach and presents a calligraphic script style inspired by Renaissance chancery writing. Demonstrates the capabilities of the Poetica family through numerous typographic examples, decorative glyphs, ligatures, and ornamental characters intended for graphic design and digital composition. The specimen was produced using Adobe Illustrator 3.0 and Adobe Photoshop and prepared under the direction of Fred Brady, Manager of New Typography Development.
