Condition & notes

In good condition. Tan illustrated paper covers have mild surface wear with light overall scuffing and soiling. Staple binding solid. Previous owner's address label on inside front cover; pages are lightly toned with occasional foxing to edges of text block; otherwise unmarked. An account of Major John Wesley Powell's famous 1869 expedition down the Green and Colorado Rivers through the Grand Canyon, with excerpts from his journals and period engravings depicting the dramatic landscape and harrowing rapids encountered along the way.
