Condition & notes
In acceptable condition. Boards show wear with bumped and frayed corners, soiling, and fading to cloth. Mounted plate on front cover shows wear. Spine hinges show stress with visible cracking, but binding is intact. Decorative endpapers show foxing, toning, and small tears at edges and visible insect damage to front and rear covers; insect damage extending into margins of several plates; Some foxing spots to plate pages. Interior plates are generally clean and well-preserved. Large-format art portfolio presenting reproductions of Old Master paintings from the Florentine galleries, issued for study and appreciation of European painting. Featured artists include van Dyck, Titian, Perugino, Velasquez, Botticelli, Giorgione, Leonardo da Vinci, Filippino Lippi, Fra Filippo Lippi, Hans Memling, Hans Holbein, Vigee Le Brun, Raffael, and Franz Snyders.
