Condition & notes

In good condition. Pale olive green paper covers with full color illustration of textile detail pasted on front cover; moderate age toning and scattered light soiling and spotting; creasing to edges and corner and some small color loss near edges. Staple binding intact and sound. Interior pages lightly toned with occasional light spotting and soiling; otherwise unmarked. Museum catalog published in association with the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade. Illustrated primarily with full-page color photographic plates documenting traditional Serbian folk costume and ornamental textile details, with regional examples referenced in the text (including Sumadija, Kosovo, Nisava, Pozarevac, and others). The brief introductory and concluding texts discuss the historical development, materials, techniques, and decorative vocabulary of Serbian dress, with emphasis on embroidery, weaving, and ornamentation.
