In good condition / NO dust jacket. Original salmon-pink cloth boards with brown stamped title and author lettering on front cover and spine; light to moderate overall toning and light soiling to cloth; light nicking to cloth at top and bottom of spine; light edge and corner wear with minor rubbing at spine ends. Spine is slightly cocked but binding is sound. Interior pages lightly toned with age; otherwise unmarked. A comprehensive mid-twentieth-century sporting and hunting manual devoted to bird dogs, written by Ray P. Holland (1884-1973). The work surveys the history, physical standards, field performance, and training of major pointing and retrieving breeds, combining personal field experience with breed standards and practical instruction.
