Condition & notes
In acceptable condition with acceptable to poor dust jacket. Original paper-covered boards show light to moderate edge wear with some small chipping and paper loss along edges; surfaces toned and soiled. Binding is solid and tight. Interior pages uniformly toned and generally clean and unmarked with the exception of some light staining to pages 54-55. Dust jacket present but heavily worn; spine panel entirely lacking, with front and rear panels separated; panels show extensive edge chipping, paper loss, creasing, and tears; surfaces toned and soiled, with title, author, and publisher imprint still legible on remaining panels. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover. The celebrated juvenile novel written by Daisy Ashford at age nine, published with a preface by J. M. Barrie, who emphasizes the authenticity of the child authors original spelling and narrative voice.
