In good condition with good dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with black cloth spine and silver lettering on spine; light scuffing and mild edge wear to boards; corners lightly bumped. Binding tight. Interior pages lightly toned, with heavier toning to half-title page. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has a 1 inch tear to the paper at the top edge of the spine and several smaller nicks and tears, most of which have been repaired with tape (not professionally). Jacket shows light overall scuffing and soiling. Now in an archival quality removable Brodart cover. Art book documenting the American Southwest and Old Mexico as interpreted by Arizona painter Al Nestler, combining landscape and architectural subjects with explanatory text. Al Nestler (1904-1969) was an American painter, illustrator, and art educator best known for his landscape interpretations of the American Southwest. Based in Arizona later in life, he was also a gallery owner, teacher, and author whose work helped shape mid twentieth century visual perceptions of the Southwest. Includes a preface by Robert MacLeod.
