Condition & notes

In very good condition. Yellow illustrated card stock covers have light bumping to edges and corners and light overall scuffing and soiling. Previous owner's name in ink at the top corner of the front cover. Plastic comb binding secure with no broken teeth. Interior pages clean and unmarked aside from the previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. A scarce, privately printed instructional manual in Chinese brush painting, produced for teaching use by Anne L. D. King Leong (1936 - 2021), an artist and educator born in China, educated in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and later earning an MA from San Jose State University. Leong taught adult art classes in California, and this work presents the foundations of brush technique derived from years of classroom instruction.
