In very good condition. Glossy pictorial soft covers with French flaps featuring John Reynolds' Eureka School (1993) in violet and blue horizontal stripes on a black background; light surface rubbing and minor edgewear; front free endpaper shows some scuffing to the top corner where a penciled price was erased, lifting a small area of color. Otherwise pages are clean and unmarked. Published on the occasion of the exhibition Home and Away: Contemporary Australian and New Zealand Art from the Chartwell Collection, held at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, 4 June - 22 August 1999. Edited and introduced by William McAloon, with an interview (Leaps and Boundaries) between McAloon and Chartwell Trust founder Rob Gardiner. Includes essays exploring trans-Tasman artistic dialogue, abstraction, materiality, and cultural identity, along with biographical entries on participating artists.
