In very good condition. Cream stapled paper wraps printed in brown, with front-cover map of Salford and neighboring villages (Stow-on-the-Wold, Rollright, Chipping Norton, Compton Wawen). Mild toning and a faint touch of handling wear to covers; binding tight (staple bound); interior clean and unmarked. Published by the Salford History Group and printed by Kingfisher Press, Charlbury, Oxfordshire. Contains extracts from the diary of Rev. Nash Bricknell (Rector of Salford, 1871-1890), preceded by a historical foreword by Stephen Murrell. The diary offers a firsthand chronicle of parish life in Victorian Salford, near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, recording religious, social, and civic events, including school affairs, agricultural strikes, weather, and notable local personalities. Illustrated with historic photograph reproductions of Salford village, its school, and parishioners, plus reproductions of contemporary documents such as a letter from Queen Victoria (1887 Jubilee).
