In good condition. Cream paper covers printed in black with photograph of an International Harvester 403 Self-Propelled Combine operated by Bob Hopper (photo courtesy of Pat Mann Hopper). Light bumping and creasing to edges of covers and light overall scuffing and soiling. Plastic comb binding intact and tight. 1" tear to top edge of title page and some light creasing to the top corner of several pages. Otherwise, pages clean and unmarked. Compiled and edited by members of the Adams Ladies Club, this sixth volume in the History of Adams series chronicles the years 1934 to 1943 in Adams, Oregon, and surrounding Umatilla County. The text reproduces verbatim reports and local news articles from The East Oregonian, preserving an authentic record of rural life during the Great Depression and World War II. Includes a dedication acknowledging the Umatilla Cultural Trust and honoring local veterans who served during wartime. Illustrated with period photographs from community archives, including farming scenes, school events, family portraits, and wartime activities.
