Full score for Baroque Dance Suite arranged for orchestra by Philip Gordon. Includes three short movements: I. Gavotte en Rondeau (Francois Couperin, 1668-1733); II. Minuet (Henry Purcell, 1659-1695); III. Volta (Michael Praetorius, 1571-1621). Duration: approx. 3:30. Instrumentation calls for flute, oboe, Bb clarinets, Eb alto saxophone, Bb tenor saxophone, bassoons, horns in F, Bb trumpets, trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion, piano-conductor, and strings. Notes to conductor emphasize flexibility: may be performed by full orchestra or strings alone.
