In very good condition. Light brown illustrated paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and light overall scuffing. Binding tight (staple bound). Pages clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. Catalog produced in conjunction with Ronald Chase's twenty-year retrospective The New Photograph 1964 - 1984 at the Triangle Gallery, San Francisco, and his one-man show of electrostatic prints at the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House, Rochester, N.Y. Includes introductory essay by Marianne Fulton, reproductions of Chase's photographic works such as Still Life with Divisions (1982), Study After Thomas Eakins (1981), Three Figures from a Dream (1984), Men and Canvas (1984), Blue Rectangle (1981), and Two Figures in Motion (1981); and a Chronology of exhibitions, collections, and awards provided. Ronald Chase (1934 - 2019) was an American artist and photographer born in Seminole, Oklahoma. He studied at Bard College (B.A. 1956), traveled and worked in Europe from 1956-1959, and lived in San Francisco from 1964, where he exhibited widely, including at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Boston Museum of Fine Arts. His work is represented in major collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum, and the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House.
