In good condition / no dust jacket. Tan cloth-covered boards with full color illustrated pastedown on front cover bordered in blue; blue lettering on front and spine; light to moderate overall soiling, scuffing, and wear to edges and corners, small bumps to spine ends. Binding tight; previous owner's name in pencil on front free end paper. Otherwise pages are lightly age-toned but unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. Juvenile naval fiction following Dave Darrin and his friend Dan Dalzell through their first year as plebe midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. The boys face hazing, competitive rivalries, and tests of courage at sea, including a dramatic rescue during a Chesapeake Bay accident.
