In very good condition. Glossy grey paper covers have light bumping to edges and corners and light overall scuffing. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Introduction by Prof. Dr. Hermann Wiesler ; foreword by Peter Brieske and Helmut Holtgrewe, commentary on Alfen's work, artist biography, and a selection of his sculptures and drawings from 1991-1993, including stone and bronze works from the "Duomovens" series and mixed media works such as "Schriftsychogramm." [Condition] Very good with light surface rubbing to covers and mild handling wear; interior clean and unmarked; binding tight. Matthias Alfen (b. 1965, Aschaffenburg) is a German sculptor whose work blends organic form and architectural structure, often in stone and bronze, exploring volume, texture, and the tactile engagement of the viewer. This catalog was produced during his Soest City art stipend year and features works exhibited in Berlin, Münster, and Soest in the early 1990s.
