An illustrated historical chronology of Santa Monica, California issued as a promotional publication by the Title Guarantee and Trust Company. Traces the city's evolution from Spanish colonial land claims in 1769 through private Mexican-era ranchos, the 1875 land sale boom, railroad development, and the building surge of the 1920s, concluding with reflections on the city's future in 1942. The map provides a visual representation of the region's early land divisions, topography, and settlements. A scarce and insightful example of mid-century civic history promotion from one of California's most prominent title companies.
