Arthur Tress (b. 1940, Brooklyn, NY) is an American photographer known for his surreal, staged images exploring dreams, memory, and the uncanny. After studying at Bard College and traveling widely, he shifted from documentary work to "magic realism," creating influential series such as The Dream Collector (1972). His photographs have been exhibited internationally and are held in major museum collections including MoMA and the Getty.
