Condition & notes

In very good condition. with light bumping and creasing to edges and corners of covers and light overall scuffing and aging. Binding tight (staple bound). Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. Catalog published to accompany an exhibition held January 9 to March 30, 1987, at the House of Arts in Szekszard, Hungary, featuring the private collection of Gordon Zsuzsa and Dr. Varadi Istvan. Includes a curatorial essay by noted Hungarian art historian Mimi Kratochwill (1931 - 2024), outlining the collectors' familial and emotional ties to the featured works. The catalog presents a detailed checklist of paintings, drawings, and sculptures by 19th- and 20th-century Hungarian artists, including Czobel Bela, Amos Imre, Vaszary Janos, Marffy Odon, and Mednyanszky Laszlo.
