In very good condition with light bumping to edges and light overall scuffing. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. A collection of color reproductions from a series of fifteen paintings created between 2008 and 2018 using tempera and marble dust on canvas, measuring 99 x 66 inches (251.5 x 167.6 cm). Conceived in response to a commission for a Stations of the Cross series by St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., the project began after the passing of Reiner's mother and evolved over seven years into an extended meditation on spiritual transformation, loss, and nature. With a biographical and exhibition chronology, and short contextual essay describing the series' development. Includes full-color images of the paintings in Reiner's Los Angeles studio. Design by Tommy Gear, layout by Jack Taylor and Peter Wu, photography by Fredrik Nilsen and Robert Wedemeyer, printing coordinated by Janet Klein.
