Light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light overall scuffing, soiling and aging to covers as well. Binding tight. Pages aged but otherwise clean and unmarked. This work reflects on the centennial of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which concluded the Mexican-American War in 1848, resulting in significant territorial changes between the United States and Mexico. Peter Thomas Conmy (1901 - 1996) was a distinguished librarian and historian, primarily associated with the Oakland Public Library. Beginning his career as a librarian, he ascended to the position of head librarian, where he served with dedication. By 1972, he held the titles of librarian emeritus and city historian.
