NO remainder marks. Published for the exhibition HKSAR: 10 years on at the Foreign Correspondents' Club, Hong Kong, 27 June-9 July, 2007 ; hosted by Civic Exchange, organized by Fong & Yeung Studio. Features a curated selection of 30 examples of Fong So's works, each accompanied by descriptive texts in both English and Chinese. The artworks encapsulate the essence of Hong Kong's evolution over the ten years since its designation as a Special Administrative Region following the transfer of sovereignty from the United Kingdom to China in 1997. The catalog also includes an artist's statement, providing insight into Fong So's creative process and thematic focus, as well as essays by art critics discussing the significance of the works in the context of Hong Kong's socio-political environment. Fong So (b. 1951) is a Hong Kong-based journalist and painter, originally from Guangzhou. He moved to Hong Kong in 1962 and studied Chinese painting under Chao Shao-ang of the Lingnan School. His work often reflects themes of social change and political commentary, combining his background in journalism with traditional Chinese artistic techniques.
