In very good condition/ no dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with silver lettering on spine. Light bumping and scuffing to edges and corners and light overall scuffing. Binding tight. Previous owner's name and address stamped on front free end paper. Light spotting to end papers as well. Otherwise, pages are clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. Black and white illustrations. Includes Index to Volume I (1990) at the back. "Lies of Our Times" (LOOT) was a monthly political magazine published from January 1990 to December 1994. Co-founded and published by Ellen Ray, it functioned as a media critic with a specific focus on The New York Times, which it referred to as "the most cited news medium in the United States, our paper of record." Among its contributors was Noam Chomsky, who wrote a regular column titled "Letter from Lexington." The magazine's content included analyses of media coverage, critiques of journalistic practices, and examinations of political narratives.
