Invaluable for research. [From Preface] This volume covering through December 1991 is the twenty-second annual issue of the Handbooks of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America, Inc. These publications are intended to form a permanent record of outstanding Pembrokes in the Unites States - those who have completed their AKC Championship or attained Obedience or Herding titles. We have continued the superb arrangement of material as first presented by Jane I. and Ronald J. Shakely (1970-71). Caroline H. Kierstead meticulously edited the Handbooks for the years 1972 through 1979. The Board of Directors of the PWCCA, Inc. at the September 1990 meeting approved the establishment of a Register of Merit and a Register of Merit Excellent. All Corgis who meet the requirements are entitled to the awards. A list of the recipients who earned the award through December 31, 1991 is printed in this issue. Two hundred fifty AKC Champions, Obedience Tide Holders, and AKC Herding Title Holders are featured in this volume, with full page coverage, color, call name, picture, whelping date, names of owner and breeder, three generation pedigree and citation of outstanding achievements in the United States. Except for the articles by named authors; the data in the Honor Roll pages and in advertisements, all other texts, tables and indices, etc., in all issues of the Handbook are by the Editor of that Handbook. All American and English pedigrees are checked for accuracy by the Editor.
