Condition & notes

In good condition/ NO dust jacket. Illustrated Paper over Boards with grey cloth on spine. Covers have nicking to paper over the corners and scuffing to edges with a bit of the color scuffed off. Light scuffing and fading to cloth along spine as well. Binding tight. Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. Karl Patterson Schmidt (1890 - 1957) was a renowned herpetologist and curator at the Field Museum of Natural History. He was an expert on reptiles and contributed significantly to zoology through numerous publications. Sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation, it was designed to educate the public on wildlife conservation efforts. Features 12 full-color plates by Walter Alois Weber (1906 - 1979), a prominent wildlife artist, known for his realistic depictions of animals. He worked extensively with the National Wildlife Federation and illustrated various educational books on wildlife.
