Condition & notes

In acceptable condition. Tan illustrated Paper over Boards have moderate to heavy aging, spotting and soiling and a bit of nicking and tearing to the paper at the top and bottom of the spine. Binding tight. Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked, with heavier aging and spotting to the front and rear endpapers. NOT Ex-Library. A good reading copy. A historical record of the city of Frankfurt am Main in the immediate aftermath of World War II. The city fell to the third Army on the 29th of March 1945. Headquarters of the Supreme Allied expeditionary forces were established there soon after. This book was published in an effort to serve the Personnel who were members of the headquarters. Mostly black and white illustrations white some in color. Includes some stunning before and after photos of the destruction of some of the city's major buildings and monuments.
