These colonists had come for the first selection and assignment of lots - really the beginning of the city which this year celebrates its "diamond jubilee." Cooperating with the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, the Pasadena Pioneers' Association, the Pasadena Historical Society, the Native Sons and the Native Daughters of the Golden West, the Pasadena. Drawn largely from original sources - District Court and United States Land Commission proceedings, early deeds, old maps - this story begins in Indian days and comes down to the present.
