In good condition. Pale blue paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and moderate overall fading, scuffing and spotting. Binding tight. Pages lightly aged but otherwise clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-library. The Society of California Pioneers was founded in 1850, in San Francisco, CA, by a group of settlers who had arrived in California before its statehood on September 9, 1850. The primary purpose of the Society was to preserve the history and experiences of those who were part of the early settlement of California. The Society's publication, the "Quarterly", was first issued in the early 1920s. This issue from June, 1932 includes the following articles: A Business Expedition, Being the tales of a trip to the Galapagos Islands by Caspar T. Hopkins, Foreword by Anson S.
