In good condition. Green paper covers with black and white photo reproduction of Silas St. John on front cover. Light to Moderate age spotting and soiling to covers and very light bumping and creasing to edges and corners. Binding tight (staple bound). Light age spotting to edge of text block but pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-library. Includes two laid-in single page typed sheets as follows: Overland Mailbag Editorial Memo dated 51-58 entitled Philatelic Aspects of the Overland Mail Centennial written by Ben F. Dixon, Editor; and Uncle Ben's Clamperandum dated May 10, 1957 About two historic treks of great interest to play tricks clampers. The Overland Mail Centennials were established to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Overland Mail service, which played a significant role in the development of postal service in the United States. The California Committee of the Overland Mail Centennials was particularly active during the 1957-1958 celebrations, with Ben F. Dixon serving as the chairman.
