Blue cloth covered boards with gold lettering and figure of a soldier on front cover. Bumping to edges and corners of covers and light overall scuffing, aging and soiling. Binding tight. It appears the title page has been torn out. First page after front free end paper is in the form of a letter signed by Nate S. Sharpiro (in ink - does not appear to be original) addressed to previous owner with name hand written in pencil. Remaining pages are lightly aged but otherwise clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-library. A book detailing accomplishments of Wayne County (Michigan) retailers in the war bond drive (1942-45). Black an white photo reproductions and illustrations (war bond posters), with some poster reproductions in black and white and red. Includes total amounts of money raised by various sources during the eight war loan drives, awards for best advertisements in papers, chronological listing of the contributions made by Wayne County retailers throughout the war, lists names of volunteers on various committees, including the Organization of Women Volunteers. A nice piece of Wayne County (Mich) history.
