This book presents Kfar Saba from a different angle, showing its unique history and the development of its planning in order to assure a high quality of life to its inhabitants. The book is being published on the 40th anniversary of the State of Israel, 95 years after the purchase of the Kfar Saba lands, 85 years after the renovation cf the Jewish settlement, on the eve of the "Return to Zion". Yet Kfar Saba has existed for more than two millennia, since 86 B.C. (at least!). Many transformations have occurred since - to its name, its emplacement and its development. Joseph Kolodny, the City Architect, who shares a great part in designing the new Master Plan, has undertaken the task of telling the story of two millennia, through history, cartography, architecture and urbanism. This is an interesting review, which will contribute to recognizing our deep roots in this country and in this city.
