Description

Texas Western Press, Hertzog Lecture Series, No. 2, 1990. Printing limited to 500 copies (unnumbered). In Good+ condition. Cream paper covers with blue marbled edging and gold and black lettering have light bumping to edges and corners and light overall scuffing with a bit of fraying to the corner tips. Light scratching and chipping to marbled edge along fore edge and bottom edge of front cover. Binding tight(staple bound). Pages lightly aged but otherwise clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-library. NO remainder marks. From Foreword: The Hertzog Lectures honor the memory and life work of the "Printer at the Pass, J. Carl Hertzog (1902-1984). A premiere typographer and book designer long before his association with the University of Texas at El Paso, Mr. Hertzog brought his international renown to the then Texas Western College in 1948 and launched Texas Western Press in 1952, serving as its director until his retirement in 1972.
